The Warrior Framework

Leveling The Playing Field

We are a viable alternative to the pay-to-play model. Talent, character, and discipline should be the only requirements to compete.

💰

The Traditional Track

Elite path structures routinely drain thousands of dollars annually per child from local households. This dynamic boxes out incredibly gifted local athletes, stresses families, and demands early, singular specialization.

The Warrior Approach

High-caliber professional coaching, specialized technical focus, and premium tournament entries provided at $0 financial cost. We balance training with family schedules, serving competitive configurations alongside our exploratory Lil Warriors (ages 4-6) foundation.

🎓

Built-In Graduate Offramps

We purposefully build elite capabilities up to U12. Because we are dedicated to development rather than keeping kids trapped inside an organizational structure forever, we actively transition our older players into the region's elite club networks via direct, personal partnerships with their Executive Directors:

Cost & Access

Is 703 Warriors really 100% free?
Yes. 703 Warriors provides training, tournaments, uniforms, and all core programming at no cost to participating families. The program is made possible through community partners, grants, sponsors, and individual donations. In return, we ask families to respect the opportunity by showing up, working hard, supporting teammates, and maintaining a positive attitude.
Why is 703 Warriors free?
703 Warriors was created to fill a gap in youth soccer. Too many talented children are left behind because their families cannot afford traditional club soccer or because programs do not have the time and flexibility to develop players who need more time. By removing the cost barrier, we can give more children the opportunity to build a strong foundation and compete on the field.
Do families have to meet an income requirement?
No. 703 Warriors does not require families to provide proof of income or meet a financial eligibility requirement. The program is open to children who can commit to participating, regardless of their family's financial situation.
Do players need cleats or shin guards?
No. Players do not need cleats or shin guards to participate in regular 703 Warriors training. We receive donated cleats and shin guards when available, but families are welcome to purchase their own. Cleats and shin guards may be required when a player is selected for a competitive travel team.

Soccer & Player Development

Is 703 Warriors recreational soccer?
No. 703 Warriors is not a traditional recreational soccer program, nor is it simply a recreational program supplement. We are a competitive player development program focused on technical ability, soccer IQ, decision-making, teamwork, and character. Players of different experience levels are welcome, but only players who are ready to compete are rostered for competitive play.
Is 703 Warriors a travel soccer club?
703 Warriors does not operate like a traditional weekly travel soccer club. We focus on player development, competitive games, and tournament opportunities while maintaining a flexible schedule. Players who demonstrate the ability and commitment to compete can be selected for competitive teams and travel opportunities.
Does my child need soccer experience to join?
No. 703 Warriors welcomes children who are new to soccer as well as experienced players looking for additional development. Players are encouraged to learn, compete, and improve regardless of their starting level.
What does 703 Warriors focus on developing?
703 Warriors develops technical ability, soccer IQ, decision-making, confidence, teamwork, competitiveness, and character. Our goal is to help children build a strong soccer foundation that prepares them for their next level of play.
Why does 703 Warriors focus on player development?
Many children reach middle and high school with athletic potential but without the soccer foundation needed to compete at their potential. Traditional programs often need players to produce results immediately, which can cause developing players to fall through the cracks. 703 Warriors intentionally invests in those players earlier so they can arrive at their next stage with a stronger technical and tactical foundation.
Does 703 Warriors believe in early sports specialization?
No. 703 Warriors does not believe children need to specialize in one sport at an early age. Our flexible schedule allows children to develop as soccer players while continuing to participate in other sports, activities, and interests.

Our Impact

How many children does 703 Warriors serve?
703 Warriors serves more than 400 children annually through free youth soccer, player development, competitive opportunities, and community programming.
Who does 703 Warriors serve?
703 Warriors primarily serves children and families in Arlington's Columbia Pike and Green Valley communities, while also welcoming families from surrounding Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and southwestern Maryland. Approximately 86% of participants are Arlington residents, and approximately 91% qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Meals.
Why does 703 Warriors focus on access to soccer?
The cost of competitive youth soccer can prevent talented children from participating or developing to their potential. 703 Warriors removes that financial barrier so a child's opportunity to learn and compete is not determined by family income. We believe the best players should have the chance to be on the field regardless of their socioeconomic status or cultural background.
What problem is 703 Warriors trying to solve?
703 Warriors exists to fill a gap in youth soccer development. Many children have talent and potential but do not receive enough individual development before reaching middle and high school. Traditional competitive programs often need players who can produce results immediately, leaving developing players behind. 703 Warriors provides a free, flexible environment where those children can build the technical and tactical foundation they need to reach their potential.
